Celebrating Sir David Attenborough
Advertisement Design for the UI on Sky Glass, Stream, and Q
In celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday, I led the creative for a take-over of the Sky Streaming and Q Interfaces. Beginning the process with five rough directions for the client to choose from, we narrowed the route down together through rounds of feedback, photo selections, and text explorations. The final artwork acted as a call out that brought viewers to a collection of programs available across Sky, and other UK Broadcasters and Streaming platforms.
The chosen direction
Drawing inspiration from travel postcards, and naturalistic souvenirs, we created a visual to call out the rich history of work that Sir David Attenborough has led across his career.
Alternate direction
The other approach pitched drew upon motifs from botanical illustration. The aspiration to was bring joy and a celebratory feeling to the audience, with reference to the visual language commonly associated with science and art in working with nature.
